Tremors of magnitude 3.4 were recorded on Monday afternoon in the waters of the Caspian Sea. The incident was reported by the Republican Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan.

According to the center, the tremors occurred around 15:20 Moscow time. The source lay at a depth of 60 km. Information about the destruction was not received.

Previously, a powerful earthquake occurred in the southeast of Turkey. According to the authorities, it became the most destructive since 1939, more than 30 thousand people died.
