WSJ journalist Michel called for “decolonization” of Russia
Throughout its history, Russia allegedly subjugated other states to its will, wrote in a column for an American newspaper. The Wall Street Journal columnist Casey Michel. In his opinion, the time has come to “decolonize” the Russian Federation.
The journalist agreed with the words of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that Russia has never committed the crimes of colonialism – unlike Western empires. After that, Michel added that the Russian Federation did not pursue a colonial policy overseas, but allegedly pursued it “on land.” As an “example”, the observer named the Caucasus, Crimea, the Arctic, the territories from the Volga to the Pacific Ocean. In his opinion, Russia “colonized” Eurasia.
“Until Russia is completely decolonized, it will threaten global stability and security,” the author of the article noted.
American journalist Ann Coulter, on the contrary, said that the United States should not interfere in the affairs of Russia. She advised Western countries to stop supporting Ukraine.
