Deputy Vasily Piskarev (United Russia) announced that a draft amendment to the bill on restrictions on access to state secrets has been submitted to the State Duma. In particular, citizens who have accounts in foreign banks may not be allowed to access this data. In addition, the document provides for permission to travel abroad for those who have access to state secrets in case of humanitarian circumstances – for example, for treatment.
Access to state secrets, according to the proposed amendments, may be denied:
- If a citizen or his close relatives has accounts and deposits in foreign banks;
- If you have real estate abroad;
- When owning and using foreign financial instruments.
