Along with the youth, it is necessary to make the general public awareness of the prevention of AIDS


    On the occasion of World AIDS Day, an awareness rally was taken out on Tuesday under the joint aegis of Jharkhand State AIDS Control Committee and National Service Scheme Ranchi University Unit. The theme of the rally, which was taken out from Aryabhatta Auditorium of Ranchi University to Morabadi Maidan, was kept and Equalities, and AIDS, and Pandemic.

    Through the rally on this topic, the students were discussed how to eliminate AIDS in Jharkhand without any discrimination against the people. Project Director of Jharkhand AIDS Control Committee Dr. Bhuvnesh Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Ranchi University Prof Dr. Kamani Kumar, and State Program Coordinating Officer of National Service Scheme Prof Dr. Brajesh Kumar flagged off the awareness rally.

    The Project Director said that by making the youth aware, we can stop the spread of AIDS infection from the state of Jharkhand. Importantly, from time to time, people can be made aware by organizing seminars through Red Ribbon Clubs for the prevention of AIDS.

    Along with this, the participation of youth is important in organizing blood donation camps through Red Ribbon Clubs to overcome the shortage of blood in the state.

    For the prevention of AIDS, youth will have to be made aware of HIV infection through unprotected sex and needle so that the youth can become aware and make all the people of the society aware of the prevention of AIDS.

    Ranchi University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Kamini Kumar said that youth have an important role in the prevention of AIDS. Parents should also be made aware.

    Prof. Dr. Brajesh Kumar said that through Red Ribbon Club at the state level, volunteers are being made aware by organizing camps at identified places to protect them from AIDS and HIV. In the coming days, NSS workers and volunteers will work on this in detail.
