Alec Baldwin refuses to use guns in movies after operator’s death


American actor Alec Baldwin said he “aged years” after experiencing an accident while filming “Rust” and vowed never to use a real weapon on set again, CNN reported Aug. 19.

“People who do not know the facts began to condemn me”Baldwin said in an interview, discussing the tragic incident with the operator Galina Hutchinswho was killed in October 2021 while filming a gun scene.

Baldwin has stated that he will never again work with real guns in television or film in the future, and will prefer to use digital effects in his projects.

The actor, who was also sued by Hutchins’ relatives, said he still wants to finish the film “in memory of Galina” and give part of the box office proceeds to her son.
