Aladdin, Lea Michele, ‘Lion King’: Broadway hits Thanksgiving parade

There’s lots to see yearly on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade between floats and performances — together with a formidable lineup from Broadway.

The parade tradition dates again almost a century, when Macy’s flagship Manhattan retailer placed on its first vacation parade on Thanksgiving morning in 1924, in hopes to appeal to prospects for vacation purchasing. The parade has grown and advanced to the hourslong occasion crammed with towering balloons, celeb performers and festive floats that we all know in the present day.

It’s no shock that Broadway, identified for its spectacular performances that many journey the world over to soak up, stole the present on the parade this Thanksgiving.
