Hungary cannot support the EU decisions on anti-Russian sanctions. This was announced on May 21 by the head of the Hungarian government Viktor Orban broadcast on the Serbian TV channel RTS.
“Hasty sanctions against Moscow should not be taken, because they are akin to an atomic bombOrban said.
According to him, sanctions could lead to “rising prices, hunger and unprecedented mass migration.”
In early May, it became known that the permanent representatives of the EU member states could not reach an agreement on the introduction of new sanctions against Russia – the decision was blocked by Hungary.
