In Kerch, according to preliminary data, the air defense system (air defense) worked, Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of Crimea, said on his Telegram channel. According to him, there is no danger for the city and the Crimean bridge.

Videos of explosions are being circulated on social media. It is alleged that they were filmed in Kerch.

Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region, said that the air defense system shot down a Ukrainian drone at a great distance from the Crimean bridge. According to him, there were no casualties or destruction.

The head of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, said at the end of April that the Ukrainian military could strike at the Crimean bridge. According to him, this will definitely happen if there is such an opportunity.

Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) Dmitry Marchenko said on June 15 that the Crimean bridge is the “number one target” for the Ukrainian military. According to him, Russia is pulling up military reserves across the bridge for a special operation and the Armed Forces of Ukraine need to “cut it off”.

The Kremlin responded that Russia is aware of the threats that come from representatives of the Kyiv regime against the Crimean bridge, and takes them into account.

Politico reported on August 18 that the United States allowed the Armed Forces of Ukraine to use American weapons to attack Crimea, since Kyiv considers the peninsula its territory. It is still impossible for the Ukrainian military to attack the territory of Russia.
