The authorities of Chukotka instructed to eliminate the shortage of eggs in Bilibino, where they are sold by passport. Acting head of the district, Vladislav Kuznetsov, to create a sufficient “stock of eggs” in the city.
He held a meeting with the residents of Bilibino. The townspeople told Kuznetsov about the accumulated problems, most of which “have not been resolved for decades” – we are talking about the low quality of medical services, high prices for food and their shortage, as well as illegal dumps, reports “Politics today“.
“They said that eggs are sold to people only with a passport – an approach like in the 90s! He instructed to quickly create a supply of eggs in Bilibino, sufficient to meet the demand. Our priority is to produce more products here in Chukotka,” Kuznetsov said.
The Acting Governor added that a poultry farm is currently being built in the city, but in order to launch its production this year, it is necessary to subsidize the purchase of feed. According to Kuznetsov, the relevant issue is planned to be discussed at a meeting of the Chukotka government on Friday, June 2.
In February, long queues for eggs were reported in Bilibino. In April, the cost of ten pieces of goods brought from Magadan was 600 rubles. At the end of May, in one of the local stores, the eggs were sold out in 20 minutes from the start of the sale.
