The Verkh-Isetsky District Court of Yekaterinburg arrested until October 8 a resident of Yekaterinburg who tried to sell her son for 300,000 rubles. This was reported in the press service of the regional court, RIA Novosti reports.
According to investigators, at the end of July, a temporarily unemployed 36-year-old resident of Yekaterinburg published an ad on social networks about the sale of her seven-year-old son for 300,000 rubles. The woman was appointed a fake meeting, at which she was given part of the money and immediately detained.
“A measure of restraint has been chosen in the form of detention until October 8, inclusive,” the source of the news agency noted.

As Valeria Gorelykh, head of the press service of the regional main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, noted, the detainee said that she had taken such measures because of the difficult situation with money, at the same time her husband told the detectives about the average monthly income of 120 thousand rubles. In addition, the family lived in a two-room apartment and built their own house. In addition to the boy, whom the woman tried to sell, the family has two more children – a girl and a boy, the police spokeswoman added.
