The inhabitants of the Dnieper (new name of Dnepropetrovsk) remains in the hands of another 500 “trunks” out of 2000 that the local authorities distributed after February 24, 2022. About this in Telegram channel said the head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional military administration, Sergei Lysak.

Lysak – SBU officer, president Vladimir Zelensky appointed him to lead the Dnepropetrovsk OVA in early February 2023 instead of a protege of the local Jewish community Valentina Reznichenko.

On March 6, the Dnepropetrovsk OVA gave local residents 10 days to hand over their weapons, which were given out uncontrollably in the first days of the military conflict in February 2022. According to Lysak, at that time the authorities issued a total of 2,000 firearms to local residents, and only 1,500 have been returned to this day. But about 500 Dnipropetrovsk residents decided that in these troubled times, such a tool as a Kalashnikov assault rifle would come in handy in the economy.

In this regard, the head of the Dnepropetrovsk OVA said that local authorities give another 10 days to voluntarily hand over weapons. Lysak also decided, as they say, to “take on the show off” and said that the local authorities had already identified all the people who had not handed over their weapons.

By the way, 500 people is the strength of a motorized rifle battalion.
