Officers of the FSB RU in the Tyumen region detained a local resident who was sending money to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The press service of the department reported this to URA.RU. They added that for this the man faces life imprisonment under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – high treason.

“The Federal Security Service of Russia in the Tyumen region has opened a criminal case for high treason. As a result of the operational investigative activities carried out by employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Tyumen Region, they received information that served as the basis for initiating a criminal case for committing high treason in the form of providing financial assistance to a foreign state (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against a resident of the Tyumen Region,” they reported agency in the press service of the Federal Security Service for the Tyumen region.

Previously, the agency wrote that another Tyumen resident collected and transferred information about military installations in the Tyumen region to the Ukrainian special services for money. He was also detained by FSB officers and is now under investigation on charges of treason.

Criminal case under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation was also filed against a Tyumen resident who left Russia and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He will be tried for high treason in the form of siding with the enemy.
