In Russia, Mother’s Day has been celebrated for more than 20 years, despite this, every third inhabitant of the country has not heard of such a holiday. According to the study, every third respondent (31%) does not know about the existence of Mother’s Day, mostly Russians aged 45 to 54. And mostly women (75% versus 59% of male respondents) and young people from 25 to 34 years old (74% of survey participants) are aware of the holiday. The vast majority of them (85%) plan to congratulate their mothers.

- sweets, chocolate, other sweets (53%);

- cosmetics (38%);
- household goods (29%);
- alcohol (21%);
- clothing (13%);
- gadgets (11%).
68% of Russians who plan to give their mothers a gift intend to give it personally, and 32% will send it by courier.
Remember, Mother’s Day is celebrated all over the world. In Russia, it traditionally falls on the last Sunday of November (this year – November 27). This is an official holiday, in 1998 it was established by the president to increase the social significance of motherhood.
