Prosecutor’s office: a concrete slab crushed a teenager at an abandoned facility in the Khabarovsk Territory

By information departments, five schoolchildren were at an abandoned facility on Solnechnaya Street in the village of Nekrasovka the day before at 19:00. One of them jumped onto the ceiling between the first and second floors, and it collapsed. The concrete slab crushed the guy. He died.

The prosecutor’s office of the Khabarovsk Territory began an investigation in connection with the death of a teenager. Prosecutor Mikhail Drozhachenko went to the scene. Experts assessed the activities of the owner of the facility, who “did not take measures to restrict free access” to the abandoned building. The District Attorney sent the results of the check to the investigators.

Based on the results of consideration of the materials, the investigation opened a case on causing death by negligence (Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The maximum sanction is two years in prison.
