A rock collapse occurred at the Oktyabrskaya-Yuzhnaya mine in the city of Shakhty, Rostov Region. There were 10 people on site at the time of the incident. This was reported to journalists in the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
“At 06:40 Moscow time, information was received about the collapse of the rock in the drift of the Oktyabrskaya-Yuzhnaya mine. At the time of the collapse, there were 10 people in this area, they are leaving on their own,” noted in the department.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of the emergency, no one was injured. The cause of the collapse is currently being investigated, and rescuers are working at the scene of the incident.
