The Morozovsky District Court of the Rostov Region arrested for two months local resident Ivan Svistov, who is suspected of attempting to set fire to a military registration and enlistment office. The investigation qualified the man’s actions as hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and he faces imprisonment for up to seven years.
“The preliminary investigation authorities established that on November 6, 2023, Sistov threw bottles filled with a homemade incendiary mixture at the window of the building of the military commissariat of Morozovsky, Milyutinsky, Oblivsky and Sovetsky districts in the city of Morozovsk, Rostov region,” says a message on the website of the Morozovsky District Court.
According to the publication “Notebook”, the attempt to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office in Morozovsk was unsuccessful; the bottles thrown by the man did not even break the window. According to one version, the suspect could commit a crime due to the actions of telephone scammers.
