Man faces up to six years in prison

In Sovetsky (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug), police officers revealed the theft of budget money allocated under the state program of the district “Support for Employment of the Population”. The man fictitiously arranged jobs for residents, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug reported.

“The suspect, being an official, provided fictitious information about the employment of non-working citizens to the employment center. What caused damage to the institution in the amount of about one million 800 thousand rubles, ”the department said.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Fraud committed by a person using his official position). The man is suspected of committing three episodes. He faces up to six years in prison. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
