Announced by CD Projekt, the remake of the first The Witcher game will not be released until 2025, when the fourth part of the series hits the shelves. About it told during the financial report, the company’s president and CEO, Adam Kiczynski.
As Kichinski explained, the decision was made based on the fact that the remake will use technology from The Witcher 4, which was codenamed Polaris.
“Going back to the issue of The Witcher remake. Yes, it will come out after The Witcher 4. I think that the Witcher remake will be heavily based on Polaris technology. That’s why it will only come out after it,” – said the CEO of the company.
At the same time, Polaris is at a very early stage of development, the release of the fourth part of the adventures of Geralt of Rivia is scheduled for no earlier than 2025. The remake is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine.
