A rally-concert in support of the RF Armed Forces was held on Kanamat Botashev Square in Karachaevsk

    The first solemn event took place on the main square of Karachaevsk after its renaming in honor of the Hero of Russia, Major General Kanamata Botashevawho died during a special operation of the RF Armed Forces in the Donbass.

    On June 29, a concert-rally in support of the President was held in the city Vladimir Putin and the Russian Army, which protects the civilian population of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, and also performs tasks for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.

    The head of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic spoke about the event in his Telegram channel Rashid Temrezov.

    “We are confident in the correctness and wisdom of Vladimir Vladimirovich’s decision and believe in the victory of our guys! We have truth and justice, a powerful state and a united, united people behind us,” he wrote. We are for the president! We are for a world without Nazism! We are for Russia!

    Recall that in mid-June, the deputies of the Duma of the Karachaev urban district unanimously voted for the assignment of the main square of Karachaevsk after Kanamat Botashev. The pilot-ace, who went to the Donbass as a volunteer, died at the end of May in the course of a combat mission in the Luhansk People’s Republic. At the cost of his life, he saved his colleagues who were surrounded by Ukrainian nationalists. The pilot inflicted a fire defeat on a group of militants, ensuring the exit of dozens of Russian military from the ambush. However, the Su-25 Botashev was shot down by an anti-aircraft missile, the pilot did not have time to eject.

    By presidential decree, Kanamat Botashev was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Russia. The funeral of the military took place on June 2 in his small homeland in Karachay-Cherkessia. Dozens of people came to say goodbye to the pilot.
