The Sysert urban district will have the opportunity for economic development thanks to an eco-cluster, which will include a modern landfill and a waste sorting plant. This was discussed during the presentation of the project to deputies of the Sysert City Duma, a URA.RU journalist reports from the scene. The event was attended by the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the Sverdlovsk Region Nikolay Smirnov and investor Alexey Bobrov.
During the construction phase of the ecocluster, more than a thousand jobs will be created. After the launch of the project, 1,200 people will work here. “Residents of nearby settlements will be involved. They and their children will remain here in their native land. New schools and kindergartens will be created, shops and social facilities will appear. The result is new jobs. And a new agglomeration will gradually be created, the ecological cluster will be the center of its development. And all this is not to the detriment of existing agricultural enterprises,” said Nikolai Smirnov.
During construction, 2 billion rubles will be spent on paying employees. After launch, the salary fund will amount to 1.5 billion rubles annually. “All major contractors will register branches in the Sysert region. We have a 100% white salary, official employment,” said investor, representative of the shareholders of STS Corporation Alexey Bobrov.
Chairman of the Duma of the Sysert urban district Ilya Tugbaev reminded those present that taxes from salaries will also go to the municipal budget. “This will be our development driver. (…) For now, the territory produces much less taxes than necessary,” he added.
The exact location for the project is still being chosen. “When a decision is made about where exactly the eco-cluster will be built, there will be an understanding of who will be involved in processing recyclable materials around it. Definitely, regardless of location, this will be a modern, comfortable industrial infrastructure where small and medium-sized entrepreneurs can realize their potential,” Bobrov assured.
Let us remind you that the eco-cluster will be built by the Ecological Systems company (part of the sphere of interests of STS Corporation). On September 20, the project was presented to the public.
