Residents of the Sverdlovsk region complain that the drug “Ursofalk”, which is prescribed for the treatment of the liver and gallbladder of newborns, has disappeared from pharmacies. This was reported by readers of URA.RU. The drug is produced in Germany. By the way, “Ursofalk” is included in the list of vital and essential medicines.

“Ursofalk has gone missing in the form of a suspension prescribed for children. Doctors prescribed this well-known German drug for diseases associated with liver and gallbladder dysfunction in children, including hepatitis, ”the agency’s interlocutors share.

The URA.RU journalist walked through the pharmacies of Yekaterinburg and found that the drug in the form of the Ursofalk suspension was not available. However, pharmacy chains offer analogues. In a telephone conversation with a URA.RU correspondent, pharmacist Irina confirmed the information that the drug in the form of a suspension is not available in city pharmacies. “Yes, the Ursofalk drug for children is not available in pharmacies. But this is no reason to panic. It should be remembered that at the moment there is a good analogue – Exhol,” she said.

Indications for the use of the drug “Ursofalk”:

  • Chronic active hepatitis with cholestatic syndrome;
  • Acute hepatitis;
  • cystic fibrosis (cystic fibrosis);
  • Congenital atresia of the bile duct;
  • Biliary reflux esophagitis and gastritis;
  • Biliary dyspeptic syndrome in cholecystopathy and biliary dyskinesia.

Earlier, URA.RU reported that foreign medicines were no longer sold to pharmacy chains in the Sverdlovsk region. The sanctions imposed against Russia have had an impact on logistics. In the region, problems arose with some drugs, in particular, with Viagra, Zoloft, Gicamtin, Fluimucil, Ozempic, Seroquel.
