Part of the vehicle convoy accompanying the Democratic Party’s Vice Presidential nominee, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, crashed while en route to a campaign event in Milwaukee, resulting in several people sustaining injuries, including bruises, cuts, concussions, and a broken bone, according to The Hill newspaper.
The publication reports that the vehicles escorting Governor Walz collided on Monday while he was heading to a campaign event in Milwaukee. One of the vehicles involved in the crash was a minivan carrying journalists accompanying Walz on the trip.
As a result of the accident, journalists suffered bruises and cuts, one had a concussion, and a staffer from the campaign team broke their arm.
The vehicle carrying Governor Walz, who is running alongside incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election, was not part of the accident and continued moving.
The US presidential election is set to take place on November 5, with Democratic Party nominee Kamala Harris facing off against Republican candidate Donald Trump.
