A man with suspected anthrax was hospitalized in the Moscow region

Krasnogorsk, March 23, 2023, 00:43 — REGNUM The patient, in whom doctors suspected anthrax, was hospitalized in the Moscow region. It is reported on March 22 by the Moscow Region Department Rospotrebnadzor.

The citizen arrived on the territory of the region from Chuvashia. Department officials immediately launched an epidemiological investigation. A set of necessary anti-epidemic measures was organized. The situation is under control.

The patient was taken to one of the medical institutions of the Moscow region. The location was disinfected.

Information previously published in the media and social networks that the patient managed to leave the capital region and was hospitalized only upon returning to the Republic of Chuvashia is not true– said in a statement from the department of Rospotrebnadzor.

Recall that in March of this year two cases of anthrax infection were detected in Chuvashia. Both patients with a confirmed diagnosis were hospitalized in medical institutions.
