A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan shot dead one of his seniors late on Friday (July 24). After this he also shot himself. It is reported that the incident took place at Lodhi Road Estate in Delhi. The office of the Ministry of Home Affairs is also located nearby.
The time of the incident is believed to be around 10.30 pm. Police received information about the incident on PCR, after which policemen immediately reached the spot. However, both CRPF personnel were found dead. According to the CRPF, Sub-Inspector Karnail Singh had a heated argument with Inspector Dashrath Singh about something.
Meanwhile, Karnail Singh shot Dasaratha from his service weapon. After this, he also shot himself with this weapon. Now Delhi Police is investigating what was the dispute between the two, which has increased so much.
According to the information, Sub-Inspector Karnail Singh carried out the incident while Dasaratha Singh was eating food in his room. Later on coming out, he shot himself at the gate. Karnail Singh of CRPF’s 122nd Battalion held talks with Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, while Dashrath Singh was from Rohtak in Haryana. Police say that no eyewitness has been found so far in the incident.
CRPF spokesman M Dinakaran said that an inquiry has been conducted into the matter. Meanwhile, some senior officers have been sent to the spot, they are reviewing the situation and bringing them under control.
