The police detained a group of young residents of Kurgan, from whom they seized a large batch of drugs. A criminal case has been opened; the defendants may face life imprisonment. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Kurgan region.
“Employees of the drug control department <...> stopped the activities of a group of people suspected of selling narcotic drugs on a particularly large scale. <…> criminal cases have been initiated <…> The sanction of the article provides for punishment up to life imprisonment,” the regional police website informs. Security forces detained 12 people.
More than three kg of various drugs were seized from the young people. One of the group members was placed in custody, the rest are under house arrest.
Earlier, URA.RU reported that several migrants were detained during a special operation in Kurgan. Visiting foreigners were detained while receiving a large shipment of heroin.
