Tomato and pepper seed producer Agrofirma Partner from Kolomna tested their germination for this year’s harvest. The enterprise has made maps of seedlings in greenhouses and started transplanting seedlings into the main pots.
Georgy Filimonov, deputy chairman of the government of the Moscow Region, said that the farm plans to reach its design capacity of about a ton of tomato and pepper seeds.
“Now the first stage of the investment project has been implemented, the construction of the second stage of the complex has already begun. The total investment in the project will amount to 1.2 billion rubles,” he added.
Preparatory work has already been carried out on five phases of the project. The plan is to build 38 greenhouses by 2029.
In just a year, 130 kilograms of tomato hybrid seeds and 30 kilograms of pepper were harvested in the first stage of the complex.
Earlier, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov, spoke about helping businesses enter the international market. He noted that the Moscow region has sufficient connections to help entrepreneurs to export.
