In the Irkutsk region there was a fire at the sawmill. This was announced today, May 29, by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
“In the city of Taishet, a fire is being eliminated at a sawmill. The message about the ignition of the roof of the brick structure of the sawmill was received by the fire and rescue service at 17:26 (12:26 Moscow time). At the time of the arrival of the first units, the roof of the building and the garage, which was attached close to each other, were on fire. Due to the large fire load and gusts of wind, the fire quickly spread to a large area. At 18:24 (13:24 Moscow time) the fire was localized on an area of 400 sq. m”, – the message says.
Currently, the pouring and dismantling of building structures is underway. No harm done. It is noted that firefighters managed to defend about 20 cubic meters. m of lumber and 8 outbuildings, including a drying chamber with finished products.
