A bill amending the Labor Code, which will prohibit the termination of fixed-term employment contracts with participants in the Russian military operation in Ukraine, was submitted to the State Duma. This was announced by the First Vice Speaker of the Federation Council and Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak in his Telegram channel.
Mr. Turchak explained that fixed-term employment contracts with mobilized and volunteers will be automatically extended when they expire for the duration of their military service. After returning from the war zone, they will be able to keep their jobs. The draft law was prepared by a working group on special operations.
In the fall, amendments were made to the labor code, which prohibited employers from terminating employment contracts with workers called up for partial mobilization. Jobs for the mobilized will be maintained for the entire period of military service.
