A doctor from Nefteyugansk (KhMAO) Vladimir Ermolaev will again become a deputy of the Tyumen Regional Duma after a two-year break. This was reported to URA.RU by several sources in the political elite of the Tyumen Matryoshka. Ermolaev will replace United Russia member Yevgeny Makarenko in the parliament, who decided to give up his mandate.
“Makarenko was elected on the party list, so there will be no by-elections to replace him. The mandate will go to Ermolaev as a representative of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (Makarenko was elected to the regional Duma from Nizhnevartovsk – ed.) and the next one on the list, ”said the insiders.
Ermolaev was a deputy of the regional Duma from 2016 to 2021. He is remembered for his proposal to ban women from having abortions without the consent of the alleged father of the child. After the 2021 elections, despite the passing place on the list, he refused the mandate.
URA.RU sent a request to the regional branch of United Russia. A response is expected.
