At the railway station in Troitsk (Chelyabinsk region), rescuers eliminated the spill of a hazardous substance – sulfuric acid. As URA.RU was informed in the press center of the Search and Rescue Service (PSS) of the region, the wagon with the substance was sent outside the city.

“A hazardous chemical leak was discovered from a tank car parked at the Troitsk railway station. The car, on which smudges of sulfuric acid were noticed, was redirected to sidings outside the city and fenced in a section with a radius of 50 meters. Rescuers conducted reconnaissance and examined the container, ”the press service of the PSS region told URA.RU.

The rescue service noted that the tank was intact and did not pose a danger to the population. A minor spill of sulfuric acid occurs through a safety inlet valve through a special box and is eliminated by services that provide subscriber services for such goods.
