A court in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug recovered six million rubles from an oil service company for the death of a bulldozer driver

The Nizhnevartovsk City Court recovered six million rubles from the Samotlorneftepromkhim company for the death of a bulldozer driver. Court documents indicate that the worker was crushed under the cab when the special equipment overturned while being loaded onto a trawl.

“The Nizhnevartovsk City Court decided to recover from Samotlorneftepromkhim JSC a one-time cash payment in the amount of 5,930,990 rubles at the claim of the wife of a company employee. The bulldozer operator was fatally injured when, while climbing onto the trawl, the bulldozer turned sharply to the left and overturned on its left side,” court documents read.

The cause of the accident, according to the department, was safety violations when loading special equipment onto the trawl. The bulldozer driver himself and the head of the convoy of SNPKh were recognized as the culprits. After the death of her husband, the woman applied to the company for a one-time cash payment, but received no response.

In the first claim, the court decided to pay the wife of the deceased a million rubles as compensation for moral damage, but the company refused a lump sum payment. The court declared the refusal illegal. Samotlorneftepromkhim is currently appealing the court decision.

The agency sent a request to Samotlorneftepromkhim JSC asking for comment on the situation. At the time of publication of the news, there was no response to the request.

Earlier, URA.RU wrote that a lifting unit operator of the oil service company INCOMneft died at the Samotlor field (KhMAD). An oil worker fell from a lift mast while adjusting equipment.
