Japanese ballerina Marina Shibayama was surprised by the variety of mayonnaise, as well as cheap bread, apples and cucumbers on the shelves of one of the Kurgan stores. In November, the artist and her troupe came to give a concert at the regional philharmonic, after which she recorded a short overview of the city.

“Is it all mayonnaise? That’s how much the Russians love him. There are many different types. And there’s even some in the bucket,” a video with a review of the Kurgan was posted on youtube channel ballerinas Shibayama noted that bread, apples, cucumbers and loose chocolates in the store are cheap.

Shibayama was born in Japan. She moved to Moscow 14 years ago.
