A 38-year-old resident of the Kurtamysh district died in the Kurgan infectious diseases hospital. A woman who became ill with a coronavirus infection called an ambulance several times, but she was not hospitalized. When her condition worsened, a relative took her to the Kurgan hospital, Svetlana Kichigina, a friend of the deceased, told URA.RU.

“My friend died in the infectious diseases hospital of Kurgan. She lived in the village of Obanino. Called an ambulance several times. As far as I know, doctors gave her injections and prescribed pills. The diagnosis is covid. And when she became ill, a relative took her to the Kurgan hospital (her husband was on a business trip). On February 6, she died, three children were left without a mother! I believe that the doctors did not take her to the hospital in time. This cannot be left unpunished, ”Kichigina said.

The Department of Health of the Kurgan Region responded to a request from URA.RU that, according to preliminary data, the death could be due to the patient’s severe chronic disease. “The exact cause will be determined after an autopsy and histological examination. The medical commission under the Department of Health will assess the actions of the medical staff. The Department of Health offers condolences to the family and friends, ”the agency said in a response.

Earlier URA.RU wrote that in Kurgan on January 7, a 25-year-old woman, Ksenia Galyamina, who was seven months pregnant, died in a hospital. Relatives of the deceased are accused of the inaction of doctors. Before her death, the woman recorded a video from the ward of the infectious diseases hospital, in which she asked for help. She lost her voice and suffocated. The Department of Health explained that the woman was not vaccinated against the flu, and when the first symptoms appeared within a week, she was treated on her own.
