A 26-year-old resident of Kerch opened a criminal case on the desecration of the Eternal Flame

The Office of the Investigative Committee for Crimea opened a criminal case against a 26-year-old resident of Kerch, suspected of desecrating the Eternal Flame memorial on the city Walk of Fame. The incident happened on August 3rd.

According to investigators, the girl in a state of intoxication climbed onto the pedestal and danced on it. She then threw a nearby commemorative wreath on the gas burner. The wreath melted, and because of this, the flame went out.

The suspect was detained yesterday, August 5. She was interrogated, she fully admitted her guilt, according to a press release from the ICR on the page in “In contact with”.
