United States deported 682 Indian citizens in first three months of 2025, says India’s Ministry of External Affairs. Most tried entering US illegally.

Ministry reports 682 Indians returned in multiple batches since January. Majority were hopeful migrants attempting illegal entry into US. Speaking in India’s Lok Sabha on Friday, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh said government works with US to curb illegal migration and human trafficking.
He added that authorities verify citizenship of deportees, ensuring only Indian nationals return. Singh stressed India’s tough stance against those involved in illegal migration, promising strict punishment.
