30-year-old football player Alexey Lesin died in Sochi – Kommersant

Player of the LAVA football team from Cheboksary Alexey Lesin was found dead on the beach in the Adler district of Sochi. The investigative authorities are conducting an inspection, no visible injuries were found on the body of the deceased, the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory told Kommersant.

Football player and coach Alexey Lesin came to Sochi for the All-Russian competition. Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident in order to identify the exact cause of the man’s death. A forensic medical examination has been ordered.

The Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Chuvash Republic expressed condolences to the family and friends of Alexei Lesin in connection with the bereavement. The deceased football player was 30 years old.
