WASHINGTON, 8 Nov – The United States is concerned about the situation on the Belarusian-Polish border, calls on Minsk to stop the “campaign to create an unusual flow of migrants” to Europe, said State Department spokesman Ned Price.
“We call on the regime to immediately stop the campaign to create unusual flows of migrants across the border into Europe,” Price said at a briefing.
He stressed that the United States is “concerned about images and messages” about the situation on the border of Belarus and Poland, condemning the use of vulnerable people in a difficult situation for political purposes. Price stressed that the United States will continue to put pressure on the leadership of Belarus and the president of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko.
Price stressed that the United States supports Poland and other European countries, “which are threatened by the actions of the Belarusian authorities.”
