Tallinn offered the EU to purchase weapons for Kyiv as they bought the vaccine against COVID-19

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas invited the member states of the European Union to buy weapons and military equipment in the same way as they bought anti-covid drugs, the press center of the government of the Republic of Estonia reports today, February 9.

Callas’ idea is as follows:

“European countries will allocate funds, the European Commission will carry out purchases, then they will send weapons and equipment to Ukraine.”

The Estonian prime minister also insists on increasing the volume of production of the European military-industrial complex, primarily at the expense of the industry of Germany and France.

As previously reported EADaily the leaders of the Baltic states in Brussels, together with other leaders of the European Union, are participating in an extraordinary meeting where they discuss the tenth “package” of anti-Russian sanctions and issues of expanding military assistance to Kyiv.
