Former Pakistan captain and current Prime Minister Imran Khan has given a big statement on India and world cricket. Pak PM has said that money speaks and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the richest board in the world so it controls world cricket. The BCCI will host the T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates from October 17 and Pakistan has been placed in the same group as India. Imran said that England had canceled his tour of the country in the past, but no one in him has the courage to do so against India because money speaks. In the upcoming T20 World Cup, India has to play its first match against Pakistan on 24 October.
Imran said in a recent interview to Middle East Eye, ‘Money is most important at the moment. India is the richest board and in such a situation no country would dare to take the action against it which England did to Pakistan. Money speaks and that’s why India controls world cricket. Not only the players, the boards of different countries also get money from India. That’s why he is controlling cricket completely.
The Prime Minister expressed his disappointment over the cancellation of the tour of England and New Zealand teams to Pakistan. The PM said that he has seen cricket relations between Pakistan and England growing, but here England has let itself down. Before the T20 World Cup, England’s men’s and women’s team was to tour Pakistan for a limited overs series, but the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) canceled the tour citing security reasons. Before England, New Zealand also refused to play in Pakistan at the last minute.
