Before the 2022 assembly elections, while the Congress is trying to score runs fast, Navjot Singh Sidhu’s googly seems to be a hit wicket for the party. Sidhu, who first became the Captain of Punjab Congress after fighting and then suddenly resigned and put the party in the middle, has said that Congress will die by 2022. A video of Sidhu sitting on a silent fast at the house of journalist Raman Kashyap in Lakhimpur Kheri is going viral on social media. Going out on a march to Lakhimpur, Sidhu talked of showing success if he was made the CM instead of Charanjit Singh. During this, he also uses abusive words.
Sidhu, who has not yet withdrawn his resignation, left Mohali for Lakhimpur Kheri on Thursday with a Punjab Congress procession to protest the Lakhimpur violence. The viral video was being told of the beginning of this journey, when he had to wait for Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. Sidhu appeared disappointed during this and whatever he said in conversation with his colleagues was recorded in the cameras of the media. Live Hindustan does not verify the veracity of this video.
In the video, Punjab cabinet minister Prakat Singh is seen giving them satisfaction by saying that Channi is going to arrive soon. Punjab Working President Sukhwinder Singh Danny says that the march will be successful. To this Sidhu says, “Where is the success? If the son of Bhagwant Sidhu (Navjot Singh Sidhu’s father) had been given the leadership, then you see… Congress will die by 2022. During this, he also uses abusive words.

Nothing has been said by the Congress party or Navjot Singh Sidhu himself on the viral video on social media. However, the opposition has become the attacker. The Akali Dal leaders condemned Sidhu’s statement saying that he does not respect the Chief Minister of the Dalit community. Akali Dal leader Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said, “A person who puts his aspirations above the welfare of the people, cannot give any direction to the state. They have been exposed.”
