GST collection more than 1 lakh crore for the third consecutive month, the finance ministry said – 23 percent more than last year

The Finance Ministry informed that in the month of September, the GST collection in Delhi was 3,605 crore, Uttar Pradesh 5,692 crore and Jammu and Kashmir 377 crore GST revenue.

The Finance Ministry informed on Friday that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in the month of September stood at Rs 1.17 lakh crore. The ministry said that this is the third consecutive month that the GST collection has exceeded one lakh crore rupees. According to the data, the revenue collection of September 2021 is 23 percent more than the collection in September last year.

Issuing a statement regarding this, the Finance Ministry said that, “Gross GST revenue accumulated in September 2021 is Rs 1,17,010 crore, of which CGST Rs 20,578 crore, SGST Rs 26,767 crore, IGST Rs 60,911 crore (29,555 collected on import of goods). crore) and cess is Rs 8,754 crore (including Rs 623 crore deposited on import of goods).

Explain that CGST stands for Central Goods and Services Tax and SGST stands for State Goods and Services Tax. Whereas IGST stands for Integrated Goods and Services Tax. In the month of September, the revenue from import of goods was 30 percent higher. In addition, revenue from domestic transactions (including import of services) was up 23 per cent over the month of September last year.

GST Collection in September: At the same time, in June 2021, the GST collection was less than one lakh crore rupees but after that in July, August and September, the GST collection was more than one lakh crore rupees. If we look at the GST collection in the last three months, where it was 92,849 crores in June 2021, 1.16 lakh crores in July and 1.12 lakh crores in August, the first date of October brought good news for the government in this matter. Let us inform that in the month of September, this collection has increased to Rs 1.17 lakh crore.

Collection in UP in September: The Finance Ministry informed that in the month of September, the GST collection in Delhi was 3,605 crore, Uttar Pradesh 5,692 crore and Jammu and Kashmir 377 crore GST revenue. Whereas in Himachal Pradesh, the GST collection stood at 680 crores.
