Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a three-day visit to America, attended the Quad countries meeting on Friday. During his address, PM Narendra Modi emphasized that QUAD countries will have to work together in the Indo-Pacific region. The quad vaccine initiative will help the Indo-Pacific countries. He said that the purpose of QUAD in his eyes is that all together establish peace in the world, take it towards prosperity. During his address, PM Narendra Modi, while explaining the purpose of QUAD, said that for the first time after the year 2004, the QUAD countries were united. Then all kinds of help was given to deal with the tsunami. Now that the whole world is fighting against Corona, then QUAD has been activated for the betterment of the world.
In this meeting, PM Modi thanked Biden for convening the first in-person meeting of the Quad. He said that our Vaccine Initiative will be of great help to the Indo-Pacific countries. The PM said that ‘I am confident that the Quad Group will play an important role in ensuring peace and prosperity in the world. The four countries have met for the first time since the 2004 tsunami to help the Indo-Pacific region. Today the world is fighting the corona pandemic. That’s why we all four countries have once again come together as a quad for the welfare of humanity. The PM said that Quad is working together on many issues like supply chain, global security, climate change and corona pandemic.
During the Quad Group meeting, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said, ‘I hope this summit goes well. The Japanese PM thanked US President Joe Biden and said that you have ended the ban on Japanese food products. I had requested you in this regard in the month of April. This is a big step. Thank you.

Today, we are also launching a new Quad fellowship for students from each of our Quad countries to pursue advanced degrees in leading STEM programs in the United States, US President Joe Biden said at the Quad Group meeting, which will be the same as tomorrow’s. Represent investment in leaders, innovators and pioneers. To meet the major challenges of our era, the Quad countries have a similar vision for the future. Biden said, ‘Our plan for the vaccination initiative is on track. We will soon produce 1 billion doses in India to improve global supply.
I welcome PM Morrison, PM Modi and PM Suga to the White House for a personal meeting of the Quad. This group consists of democratic partners who share a world view and a common vision for the future, who come together to face the major challenges of our age.’ Joe Biden also announced a quad fellowship for students.

Let us inform that after the last meeting held in a virtual way in the month of March, now this face-to-face meeting was held. Top leaders from India, US, Australia and Japan attended the meeting.
