NYP: Chinese dissident Jingsheng informed US intelligence about COVID-19 in November 2019

Chinese dissident human rights activist Wei Jingsheng, who lives in the United States, reported to US intelligence agencies about the spread of COVID-19 back in November 2019 – more than a month before China officially acknowledged that the first outbreak had occurred. The New York Post (NYP) writes about this with reference to the book What Really Happened in Wuhan.

Jingsheng claims he first heard about the mysterious new virus from dignitaries in Beijing during the World Summer War Games held in Wuhan in October 2019, and promptly alerted an American politician with ties to then US President Donald Trump and a Chinese human rights activist about it. Dimon Liu with her husband, ex-CIA agent Robert Suettinger.

“I understood that they were not as concerned about this as I was, and therefore tried my best to provide more detailed information. They apparently did not believe that the authorities of any country are capable of doing this (to hide information about the outbreak of the virus – approx. “Lenta.ru”). Therefore, I continued to try to convince them otherwise, ”the human rights activist explained.

Liu, in turn, noted that following the conversation with Jingsheng, she had drawn up a note that she intended to convey to Trump’s Deputy National Security Advisor Matt Pottinger. “But I didn’t send it to him because it seemed incredible,” Liu explained. She added that she considered the coronavirus no more dangerous than SARS.

Former US State Department employee David Asher, who was investigating the outbreak of COVID-19 in Wuhan, China, said that at the end of 2019, the US government had other important information about the disease, but they could not “match all the facts.”

An outbreak of COVID-19 pneumonia caused by a novel coronavirus was first recorded in December 2019 in Wuhan. Initially, it was believed that the source of the new infection was the seafood market. At the same time, WHO stated that it did not have verified information that this market was indeed the source of the coronavirus.

According to the latest data, over 225 million cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the world. At the same time, 4.6 million speakers
