Geely unveils updated Geely Boyue X crossover in China

The Geely Atlas crossover, which is well known in our country, is being sold in China under the name “Boyue”. The updated Atlas Pro has recently reached the Russian market, and the second restyling of the model has already been carried out in the Celestial Empire: the Geely Boyue X crossover was presented at the Chengdu Auto Show, the main feature of which was the X-face.

Geely calls this style the Energy storm. The Boyue X crossover was the first production car with this design, but later it will be extended to other models of the Chinese brand. It should be noted that the new “face” is inscribed in the look of the crossover without interfering with the body structure. So, the headlights, hood, and front fenders remained unchanged, and only the front bumper and radiator grille was redesigned.

Other changes include black 19-inch wheels, bright contrasting d├ęcor, and a new rear bumper with diffuser imitation. The only new thing inside the car is the two-tone trim on the seats, doors, and dashboard. At the same time, buyers will be able to choose darker combinations of finishes.

On the technical side, there are no changes. Geely Boyue X is equipped with a 1.8-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 184 hp (300 Nm), which is combined with a 7-speed “robot” with two clutches and front-wheel drive.

There will also be available a junior “turbo-engine” with a volume of 1.5 liters (174 hp, 255 Nm) in combination with an “automatic” Aisin and an all-wheel-drive system. Boyue X will hit the Chinese market this fall.
