19 freight train cars derailed in the Ryazan region – Kommersant

As a result of “intervention by unauthorized persons,” 19 carriages of a freight train derailed in the Ryazan region, the Moscow Railway (MZD) reported. It is stated that the emergency did not affect the movement of passenger and commuter trains.

The incident occurred at 7:12 on the Rybnoye-Blok post section. As a result, the assistant driver received minor injuries. There is no threat to the environment, it says press release MZD.

“To eliminate the consequences of the derailment, recovery trains were dispatched from the stations Rybnoye, Voskresensk, and Ryazan. JSC Russian Railways has created a headquarters to coordinate actions to eliminate the consequences of the derailment,” the Ministry of Railways added.
