Texas Governor Seeks Biden – Declare Drug Smuggler Gangs as Terrorist Organizations

Texas State Governor Greg Abbott has asked President Joe Biden to declare drug trafficking gangs in Mexico a foreign terrorist organization. The governor said that these gangs thrive on the suffering and enslavement of immigrants.

The governor wrote a letter to US President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday, saying that these gangs deserve to be included in the list of foreign terrorist organizations. The letter also gives information about how these gangs work.

“As the governor of Texas, I ask you to take immediate steps to deal with the dangerous and deadly gangs of drug traffickers in Mexico,” the letter said.

He said, “These gangs spread fear in our community. They smuggle drugs and weapons in America to raise money for their illegal business. They push women and children into human trafficking and body trade and thrive on the suffering and enslavement of immigrants. They kill innocent people, including women and children. “

Imran Khan calls on western countries to punish those who disrespect the Prophet

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday urged the governments of Western countries to disrespect the Prophet and punish those who deliberately spread hateful messages against Muslims in the same way as they did by Nazi Germany. Prohibited any negative comments against the genocide. Imran Khan made several tweets after a recent violent protest by a fundamentalist religious group and said that Muslims cannot tolerate any kind of blasphemy of their Prophet.

He said, ‘I also call upon the governments of Western countries who have prohibited comments on behalf of Nazi Germany denying the genocide of Jews to punish those who follow the same standard against the Prophet. By making comments, they are spreading deliberate hate messages against Muslims.

There are laws in many European countries and Israel against the denial of the events of Nazi Germany being massacred by nearly six million Jews in Europe in the 1930s and 1940s. Many countries also have comprehensive laws that make the denial of this genocide a crime. Khan said that those extremists abroad and those who indulged in Islamophobia and racist remarks should understand the love of the Prophet of 1.3 billion Muslims around the world.

He tweeted, ‘We Muslims have a lot of love and respect for the Prophet who lives in our hearts. We cannot tolerate any such insult and abuse. ‘ He also asked those extremist groups in the West to apologize to Muslims for “deliberately” hurting their religious sentiments. Khan’s tweet comes at a time when his government on Thursday sought to expel the French ambassador from Pakistan over a blasphemous cartoon published in France last year following violent protests by the radical Islamic party Tehreek-e-Labike Pakistan ( TLP) is banned.

The TLP started the protest on Monday when the head of the organization, Saad Hussain Rizvi, was arrested ahead of the April 20 deadline given by the organization to expel the French ambassador from publishing the Prophet’s cartoons. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government signed an agreement with the TLP last November, which agreed to expel the French ambassador. The government banned TLP under the Terrorism Act.

America and China agree for immediate cooperation on the climate crisis

America and China, the world’s largest carbon pollutants, have agreed to cooperate with other countries to combat climate change. This agreement was reached between the two countries at a time when US President Joe Biden would host a digital summit with world leaders to discuss climate change a few days later. Biden invited 40 Chinese leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, to the summit to be held on 22 and 23 April.

The US State Department said in a statement issued on Saturday that US Special Envoy for Climate Change related matters John Kerry and his Chinese counterpart Shi Zhenhua reached an agreement during a two-day meeting in Shanghai last week. “The US and China are committed to cooperate with each other and other countries to deal with the climate crisis,” the joint statement said. This crisis should be dealt with seriously and immediately. “

China and the United States are the world’s largest carbon pollutants. Their cooperation is crucial to the success of global efforts to combat climate change, but human relations violations, trade, and China’s claims on the South China Sea and Taiwan have strained the relationship between the two countries. Kerry’s visit is the first visit by a high-level American official to China since Biden took over as president in January. Former US Secretary of State Kerry left South Korea from Shanghai.

The Russian Foreign Ministry considered it right that the United States renounced the practice of promoting democracy by force

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the US promise not to impose democracy by force as the right decision.

Earlier, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington will no longer overthrow regimes and promote democracy through military operations, as it does not work. However, according to him, Washington “will do it differently” – by its own example and motivation for reform and democracy.

According to Zakharova, this is “a wonderful thesis.” At the same time, as the diplomat added, it is impossible to introduce anything not only by force, but also using some other resources without the will of sovereign states, their official consent, “without respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of these states.”

“You just need to re-read the Charter of the United Nations and be guided by it. In principle, the State Department will master a small brochure,” Zakharova said in an interview with the Zvezda TV channel.
As US President Joe Biden noted at the Munich Security Conference, the US is returning to the world arena with the new administration. According to the head of state, cooperation with Europe will become the cornerstone of his foreign policy. He noted that Washington and its partners must defend democracy and show that it is not a relic of history. The American president named Russia as one of the main threats to transatlantic unity.

Sputnik V is trusted more in Austria than AstraZeneca

Residents of Austria regard the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine with greater confidence than the AstraZeneca vaccine, according to a study by the Institute for Management and Economic Research of Austria (IMWF Austria).

“Even the as-yet-unapproved Sputnik V vaccine is rated twice as positive in the German-speaking space as the AstraZeneca vaccine, especially in Austria,” the study said.

The Institute conducted a study in January and February 2021, which analyzed about 250 thousand statements about vaccines in three German-speaking countries, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Analyzed statements from traditional media, blogs, social networks. The sentiment of the statements was divided into positive (+1), neutral (0) and negative (-1).

According to the study, Johnson & Johnson (0.18 tonality) is in first place in terms of approval in German-speaking countries, followed by Pfizer / BioNTech (0.14) and Moderna (0.13). The tone of statements about “Sputnik V” is estimated at 0.11. As noted in the study, positive statements about the Russian vaccine were most often found in social media, in which the vaccine was mentioned 50% more often than in the media. AstraZeneca had a positive tone score of 0.04, and Sinopharm had a 0.03 tone score.

Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz discussed by phone the issue of supplies to the republic and the joint production of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.

Currently, vaccines from Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca are centrally authorized in the EU market. Vaccination began at the end of December.

Biden calls the decision of the Texas authorities on the masks “Neanderthal”

US President Joe Biden called “Neanderthal thinking” the decision of the Texas authorities to abolish the mandatory wearing of masks from next week.

“I think this is a big mistake … The last thing we need now is the Neanderthal thinking that everything is fine, take off your masks and forget about all this,” Biden told reporters, commenting on the decision of the Texas authorities.

The United States called China and Russia threats in the national security strategy

The United States called Russia and China the main threats in the transitional provisions of the national security strategy, and the PRC is also recognized as the main potential adversary of the United States.

“Russia still intends to expand its global influence and play a destabilizing role in the international arena,” reads the provisions of the strategy, which the White House has circulated.

The document notes that China “is becoming more self-confident.” Washington considers Beijing to be the only competitor that “has the potential to combine economic, diplomatic, military and technological power to pose a significant challenge to a stable and open international system.”
As the strategy says, “both Beijing and Moscow have invested heavily in efforts to contain US advantages and prevent us from protecting our interests and allies around the world.”

At the same time, Washington declares its readiness for a “substantive dialogue” with Russia and China on the issue of new military technologies “related to strategic stability,” and also claims that it is ready to abide by arms control agreements.

Earlier, in early February, US President Joe Biden, who spoke at the State Department with a keynote speech on foreign policy, said that Washington would make Moscow “pay” for its actions. He later argued that Russia was allegedly seeking to “undermine” the United States’ transatlantic partnership with its allies.

Biden also noted that, in his opinion, the difficulties in relations with Russia are different from those in relations with China, but “they are just as real.” However, in both of these cases, Washington “does not want a conflict,” the American leader said.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly denied all the accusations voiced by Washington, pointing out that they were untenable.

Relations between Moscow and Western countries have deteriorated due to the situation in Ukraine and around Crimea, which was reunited with Russia after a referendum on the peninsula. The West, accusing Russia of interference, imposed sanctions against it, Moscow retaliated, embarked on a course of import substitution, and has repeatedly stated that it is counterproductive to talk to it in the language of sanctions. Russia has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to the conflict in Ukraine and a subject of the Minsk settlement agreements.

US extended sanctions against Venezuela

The United States extended the sanctions regime against Venezuela until March 2022, the White House said on Wednesday.

“The situation in Venezuela continues to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States, so I felt it necessary to extend the state of emergency imposed by … the state of emergency,” President Biden said in a letter to Congress.

The so-called state of emergency against Venezuela, providing for the imposition of sanctions, was introduced in March 2015 by a decree of President Obama. Then the United States imposed restrictions on several high-ranking officials in Venezuela, allegedly in connection with human rights violations and persecution of political opponents. The measures affected representatives of law enforcement agencies, the army and intelligence of Venezuela.

A state of emergency was also introduced in relation to Venezuela, since the situation in the South American country allegedly posed a threat to the security of the United States. In subsequent years, the sanctions against Venezuela were significantly expanded.
