Whether there will be examinations in the universities and colleges of Rajasthan amid the Kovid-19 epidemic, the Gehlot government of the state can take a decision in this regard very soon. According to the reports, the committee constituted regarding the examinations has submitted its report. The committee has suggested that without promoting the first year examination, multiple examination in the second year and final year examinations should be conducted in July-August. The government will take the final decision on the report of the committee.
Apart from this, the committee has also suggested that the students should be vaccinated first, after that the examination should be taken. Second year and third year students are above 18 years of age, so they can get the vaccine.
Let us tell you that in Rajasthan, a committee was formed to suggest the conduct of the postponed examinations of the universities for the session 2020-21 and to start the upcoming academic session 2021-22 on time. Higher Education Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati had told that due to the second wave of global epidemic corona, the upcoming academic session is also likely to be affected due to postponement of examinations of all the universities of the state and their not being conducted on time.
Bhati had told that in this high level committee constituted in conjunction with Dr. Devaswaroop, Vice Chancellor of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Govind Guru Tribal University Banswara, Mohanlal Sukhadia University Udaipur and Haridev Joshi Journalism and Mass Communication University Jaipur including Commissioner College Education and Joint Secretary Higher Education is included.
The committee has been briefed from time to time regarding the current circumstances of Kovid-19, the norms of MHRD and related regulatory bodies like UGC, AICTE, NCTE, BCI, etc. and the conduct of examinations, academic session etc. by these institutions as a result of Kovid-19. After discussing the instructions issued and all other aspects, suggestions were to be submitted.
