The IMD has forecast “very widespread” thunderstorm activity ahead of the onset of monsoon over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar in the next two-three days.
Uttar Pradesh: According to the report released by the Zonal Meteorological Center on Wednesday, from June 11, rain is expected in most areas of the eastern parts of the state and at some places in the western parts. At the same time, there is a strong possibility of rain in most parts of the state on June 12.
Madhya Pradesh: Light rain is being observed in some parts of Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department says that the monsoon may knock in the state from June 11. It is likely that on June 12, there may be heavy rain in many areas of Hoshangabad, Jabalpur and Shahdol divisions including Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh.
Bihar: The Meteorological Department says that like other states of the country, the monsoon can reach in Bihar before time. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be a knock of monsoon in Bihar between the evening of June 11 and June 12.
Odisha: There is a possibility of heavy rains in the state on June 11 and 12. The Meteorological Department has said that there may be more than 20 cm of rain here.
Chhattisgarh and Telangana: According to the Meteorological Department, Chhattisgarh and Telangana are expected to receive rain from June 11-13 respectively.
