New way of online fraud, girl’s WhatsApp hacked by missed call, Indore police closed

Indore News: Police has blocked the girl’s WhatsApp from the hacker’s phone. On February 5, the girl had given a written complaint to ADCP Zone-2 Rajesh Vyas. In which it was told that some fraudster asked to give a missed call on *401* 7003****** number. Within a few seconds of this, WhatsApp got switched off from his mobile phone and started on the phone of the accused.

Simultaneously, the calls coming to his number also started reaching the accused. The accused was demanding money by messaging his friends through his number and WhatsApp. SI Ritesh Yadav told that after * 401 * if we make a missed call by dialing anyone’s number, then the call gets forwarded.

Forwarded the girl’s number to my phone

The accused also adopted the same method and forwarded the calls received on the girl’s number to his own number. After this, he started WhatsApp in his phone from the girl’s number. Used the call option for verification in WhatsApp. Two-step verification done. Due to this the girl was not able to start her WhatsApp back.

SI Ritesh Yadav said that after talking to the officials of WhatsApp, we have stopped WhatsApp from the phone of the accused. The location was extracted on the basis of his e-mail and mobile number. The location of the accused is coming to Bhagalpur (Bihar). This is the new way of online fraud. People need to be vigilant.
