Assembly elections are due in Uttar Pradesh next year. There is speculation that before this there may be a big reshuffle in the Yogi cabinet in the state. Due to this, the political stir in Delhi has increased. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath met Home Minister Amit Shah in the capital on Thursday. The meeting took place at Shah’s house. On Friday, the CM will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting is to be held at 10:45. After Yogi, NDA’s ally Apna Dal (S) President and MP Anupriya Patel met Amit Shah.
Cabinet reshuffle speculation
Recently, BJP’s UP in-charge Radha Mohan Singh met Governor Anandiben Patel. After this, speculations about a cabinet reshuffle in the state got air. It is another matter that Radha Mohan called it a courtesy call. He also spoke to State President Swatantra Dev Singh and General Secretary Organization Sunil Bansal.
There is a discussion that AK Sharma, who came into politics from bureaucracy, can be given a big responsibility in the UP cabinet. BJP officials have been denying this. But, it is getting constant air from the meetings of the office-bearers.
Yogi and Sharma had a ‘secret’ conversation
Recently, there was a meeting between Yogi Adityanath and AK Sharma at the residence of CM Yogi at 5 Kalidas Marg. It was completely confidential. What happened between the two did not come out. But, it was told that there is a preparation to give big responsibility to AK Sharma in UP. He can be included in the Yogi cabinet. Earlier, Sharma had also met the Prime Minister.
Election campaign intensified
Earlier this month, BJP general secretary BL Santosh had visited UP. Here he took stock of the preparations for the assembly elections to be held next year.
